My favorite jeans so far. 10 months of nearly daily wear and 5 washes later, the fades just started really coming out.
I discovered them by searching for selvedge denim jeans for women (which is harder to find unfortunately), the fact that they are organic and Made in UK instantly convinced me.
I remember them being quite stiff at first, but they quickly become softer and more comfortable (I'd say it took maybe a week to break them in). I am 173cm tall, with wide hips and got the 28W 30L, which is the size I usually get most of my jeans in. If you are quite tall and want to cuff them twice, I'd recommend getting the 32L.
With time, as they keep molding to your wear and body, they become extremely flexible and comfortable. They fade to a very nice electric blue, pale blue in some places. The very high waisted fit makes them more prone to whiskers around the crotch and waist which I personally love and the straight leg makes for crazy beautiful honeycombs.
The one downside would be the way its dyes still rub off on everything clear, I can wear tucked in white shirts without any issue but anything clear rubbing against them will turn blue (it comes out in the wash however).
I definitely will get another pair of the Akins at some point, maybe in a longer length this time.
I would also love to see what would come out of a japanese selvedge slim fit if you ever decide to make one in the UK.
